The MCC major equips students with ways of looking critically at the process whereby “meaning” is created around us.
CURRAN, Beverley F.M.
In contemporary society, people undertake more frequent border crossings amid the process of globalization, and new media technologies have reduced the time and distance required for human networking. The Media, Communication and Culture (MCC) major is intended to critically analyze this society in which communication style itself is changing at a more rapid pace due to the crossing and combination of cultural boundaries. The MCC major provides students with the opportunity to think about how we can approach others in a world of this kind and build relationships with them based on coexistence.
