Environmental studies form an academic discipline that examines what is needed to achieve "harmony between human activities and the quest to preserve the natural environment." There is more than one answer to this question. This course considers and makes suggestions for the best imaginable solutions adapted to individual circumstances. It is important to adopt multiple perspectives and comprehensive ways of thinking that go beyond the academic barriers of courses in the humanities and sciences. This course seeks to equip students with the basic knowledge and ideas necessary for not only "explaining" problems but also "solving" them, while at the same time help students enrich their awareness of nature.
