Think about the existence and meaning of the world and human beings
Both philosophy and religion are academic fields that develop the ability to critically examine the questions about “meaning” that every human being has. These two fields also examine ways to think about “values” and develop them on firmer foundations. Philosophy and religious studies play a central role in ICU’s liberal arts education that seeks to develop devout and free-minded individuals. The philosophy course offers special lectures about the Eastern and Western philosophy, as well as lectures on both the classics and contemporary works. The religious studies course offers lectures about general religious studies and religious philosophy, as well as studies on Bibliology and Christianity.
