What is "literature?"
The ultimate question for the literature major is "What is literature?" What we do in our major is an intellectual and intuitive investigation into the meaning of creative maneuver such as poetry, fiction, and theatrical play, and the analyses of what is being written and how. Students are expected to develop their ability to define the world and human beings by using their intellect, intuition, and emotions as they read and digest texts.
